Support » Plugin: Shortcodes Ultimate » Slider weird and slow sliding on IExplorer 8

  • Hi Vladimir. Thanks for that plugin, I have rate it today.

    I have the Slider on my WP homepage, work fine on mac/chrome… but on pc/ie8 is suuper sloow, like 100 times slower. Plus the arrows on it don’t work.

    How to fix that for IE ?

    ps : here is my code to show 5 photos, 600px wide, 72dpi
    [slider class="homegallery" gallery="1" height="400" title="no" pages="no" mousewheel="no" target="no"]

    unfortunately I can’t help you with this slider, because it’s not my own work. This slider (and carousel) build with jquery plugin by other author.

    Here is the link to author’s page –

    Thank you for your time! I’ll go check.

    …i see that “flat effects” transition could work on older browser like IE8.
    Flat Effects
    Horizontal Blinds
    Vertical Blinds

    How can I make it fade with your plugin ?

    …searching your plugin, i see that “swiper.js” have 3 lines where it is wrote “horizontal”

    How to “fade” it instead ?

    line #227   var isH = params.mode === 'horizontal';
    line #487   if (isH) _this.wrapper.classList.add('swiper-wp8-horizontal');
    line #124   mode: 'horizontal',

    I think there is no “fade” mode. “Horizontal” just means “not vertical”.
    Please check out swiper plugin page. Do you see any fade demos there?

    My bad. I was refering the his Chop Slider which have all the effects possible, lol. Very good touch slider btw. Not possible to fade, you are right. I’ll try to find another slider who can fade just for my home page that is. Thanks man !

    Sure, another slider will be better in your case. My version covers very basic needs.
