  • Hi there,

Could you confirm that your theme has a call to wp_footer. Go to Appearance > Editor. Select footer.php on the right. Just before the closing </body> tag, ensure there is a call to wp_footer().

Let me know if that’s not the issue and we can take another look.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave

Yes it does have a call to wp_footer.

    Thanks
    Adele

    Hi Adele,

    Thanks for checking that.

I can’t see that jQuery is being included in your theme.

One option would be to find out why and include the WordPress version or alternatively you could use a jQuery plugin such as:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-updater/

    Many thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave

I installed the jQuery updater plugin but it didn’t make any difference. However, I have made a copy of our website on a fresh WP install and the slider is working on the copy – http://dev.plasticsurgeryhub.com.au/

    Hi Adele,

Are you able to tell the difference between the two installations? Are they any plugins that are not activated or setup on the dev install?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

No everything is exactly the same, all the same plugins are activated. (I simply copied the wp-content folder over to the fresh install, dropped the tables from the new database and replaced them with the existing DB tables).

I’ve also noticed that another minor issue I was having is also fixed on the dev site. Perhaps I should just do a fresh WP install for the main site??

Have done a fresh WP install on the main site and it didn’t make any difference. The only difference between the main site and dev site is that the main site is the primary domain with the wordpress install in a subfolder, whereas the dev site is an addon domain on that same cPanel account.

    Hi Adele,

It could be due to a plugin setting or state i.e. cacheing or similar.

I would try disabling all other plugins to see if Meta Slider starts working, then reactivate each one-by-one until (hopefully) you find which one is causing the issue.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Ok I have worked out that the problem is because we are using Cloudflare. When I switch off Cloudflare the slider works. Any suggestions how to fix?
