• Hi,

I have installed the theme and everything seems to be fine.

I cannot not replace the slider on the home page with the Revolution Slider as I can not select because it is not shown on the drop down list,

I have installed and uninstalled theme as well as the Revolution Slider plugin but still no success.

I am able to place the Revolution Slider using short code on the home page but then Revolution Slider shows at the bottom of the home page with rest of the stuff above it.

    Can you please assist?

    Thank you

Hey, are you using virtue free or premium? If free then you will have to use the shortcode and just paste it above your content. If you’re using premium can you please provide a link to your site?

Hi I am using free version. HOME page contents are empty. If place it at the top with nothing else, it shows HOME page with content (not sure where its coming from) with the rev slider at the bottom of the page. Currently building the site locally and thanks for your help.

Where are you pasting the slider? The home page content pulls from your home page which you need to create in the admin area > pages. Then in settings > reading set your homepage to a static page and select “home.” Then make sure page content is enabled in theme options > home layout.
This tutorial is for Virtue premium but it may be able to help you get started, you just wont have all the same features. http://www.kadencethemes.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/

There is only one page called HOME in ‘Pages’ . That is the page I am inserting. I don’t need to re create another Home page.

Sorry, I’m confused what the issue is. Are you pasting the revolution slider shortcode at the top of that page? And in settings > reading have you set your page as static and set it to the home page?

Ok I’ll start again . I think it’s my fault not being clear.

    1. In admin Under the ‘Pages’ I have a page called ‘Home’
    2. In page ‘Home’ there is no content at all. The page is Empty. Page is set to ‘Default’ template.
    3. When you preview the same page it shows with lots of content (not sure where the content is coming from)
    4. In ‘Settings’ Static page set to ‘Home’ Posts set to nothing.
    5. When I place the short code in the empty ‘Home’ page, in preview page shows as in #3 above and at the very end of the ‘Home’ page my Revolution slider that I have pasted as a short code shows up.

    All I want to know
    1. Why my Revolution slider showing at the bottom of the page when I have inserted at the top of the Empty ‘Home’ page?
    2. Where is the all the content is coming from in my ‘Home’ page?
    3. How can I show my Rev slider at the top of the page?
    4. Why there is no ‘Revolution Slider’ OPTION not showing in the Virtue Options dropdown where you can select various sliders?

    Hey,
    1. In the theme options > home layout. What do you have enabled in the home layout manager? If “page content” is last it will be at the bottom.

    2. Probably in the theme options > home layout.

    3. Go back to 1 and make sure “page content” is the first enabled module.

    4. Because you don’t have premium theme. That option is available along with many others as part of the premium theme.
