    Hi.
I have a problem with image slider. The slider cuts off images height and shows them as narrow stripes. I tried to delete pictures and upload again but didn’t help. Also deleted slider and created new one but no change.
    The website is http://www.googleads.ie

    Many Thanks

  • Hi, about which image are you talking about…?

I’m talking about images in the slider on the front page. Can you see they look narrow. Images height is cut off.
It doesn’t look like Customizr demo slider, which it is filling most of the screen.

Have you tried deactivating plugins to explore whether any could be responsible?

Yes, I tried but didn’t help. I also re-installed WordPress.

Is it that you have to upload your images in a particular dimension?
I’ve noticed that one of the slider images on the theme’s demo site is 1200 pixels (wide) by 500 pixels (tall).
You can see it here http://wp-themes.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/img/chevrolet.jpg

This is what I had to do since I had the same problem.

    1) I selected Edit (under the photo I wanted in the slider)
    2) I cropped it down so that it was long and narrow – trying to get it to it to 800 X 300 or depending on the size of your photo a 3:2 ratio.
    3) The I clicked on the Crop Icon, and Save (under the photo)
    4) And then Update on the right sidebar.
    5) If that didn’t work, I went back into Edit in the Photo and selected scale image to 1200 X 500 and again selected Update.
    6) and re-viewed the page/slider on the site.
Or try reversing these steps (scale down first/Update, then crop). Eventually it showed up the right size.

    Good luck.

Hi, been working on this all evening. I’m trying to use a 10 megapixel photo to work. I can shrink it down to a max of 800 pixels wide and it fits (1200 x 500 slider). However, the image is still clipped and I still cannot center the image vertically and now I have a low quality image. I am trying to use the full-screen slider. If I upload the photo in ful-res, the image in the slider is clipped to 1.5 in. high. Is there a real fix?

Also, my screen resolution is 1680×1050 and when the browser is full-screen,the image gets clipped even more.

Its a really smart theme but this image-ing is absolutely necessary.

    Topic resolved then!
Cheers, live long and prosper with Customizr!

Similar problem. I followed the instructions linked by Derrick150 (including “Edit the images you want to be in a slider (best size 1170×500)” ), but it still trims the bottom of the images as the scale is changed – losing up to around the bottom 50%.

    Any suggestions?

You can create your own thread to discuss that.

Jape, 1st reduce your image to 1200 X 500 pixels using Microsoft Paint. A lot of cropping will occur but you will get to trim down and reduce the file size of your image. Then upload and add to slider. If you are using a 16:9 screen there’s gonna be a little more that will be trimmed from the top of the image and the bottom of the image as the browser (IE, Chrome, etc) can only do so much. If you resize your browser (instead of full-screen), you may be able to see you full cropped image.

Solved it (I think). I had the “Full width slider” option ticked. Unchecking it appears to solve the problem. And thanks for your help.

For This you need to Theme Setting -> Slider

Scale Home Page Slider Height Option is there .You just make the checkbox “enable” then it start automatically
