Support » Plugin: Calculated Fields Form » Slider on Mobile Phone

  • Hi,

    I think the plug-in is excellent and very glad it fulfilled all my requirements. I have a question with regards to the slider option…

    When using the slider option on a PC/Desktop it works great, and you can actually click and ‘slide’ the sliders. However, on my iPhone 6s, I can’t actually ‘Slide’, all I can do is click along the range and hope I get the number I am after. You can not tap and slide.

    Has anyone else faced this problem, and is there a solution?

    Thanks
    Z

    Hi,

    To be sure the issue is not caused by the theme active in your website, please, edit any of forms in our demo website, inserting the slider field:

    I’m testing with my iPhone, and the slider control is working fine.

    Best regards.

    Hi
    Thanks for the super quick reply. You are right, the demo sliders works fine on my iPhone. Is there anyway I can resolve this without changing the look/feel of the remaining fields?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I’ve encountered some uncaught javascript errors in the theme active in your website.

    You’ve upgraded WordPress version in the website to the 4.5.x, that includes the jQuery v1.12.3, but the theme active in your website does not support this version of jQuery totally.

    For example, the line of code below, that belongs to the javascript file (http://www.uk-psc.com/wp-content/themes/onepress/assets/js/theme.js ), is incorrect:

    jQuery('.home #site-navigation li a[href*=#]').on('click', function(event){

    it must use the double quotes as follows:

    jQuery('.home #site-navigation li a[href*="#"]').on('click', function(event){

    The same issue appears multiple times in this javascript file. You should contact to the theme’s developers, because the same error may be included in other files of the theme.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

    I noticed there was a update available for my theme, so I went ahead and upgraded the theme. I noticed that the example you provided:
    [href*=#]
    Not longer exists, and it is actually coded correctly as follows:
    [href*="#"]

    However, the slider still does not respond to my touch on my iPhone…

    Hi,

    After fix the theme errors, go to the settings page of the plugin, through the menu option: “Settings/Calculated Fields Form”, select the “Classic (Recommended)” option for the attribute: “Script load method”, and finally, press the “Update” button.

    Please, let me know the results.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

    By changing it to Classic mode actually stops the slider from working on my desktop and still doesnt work on my mobile.

    It also has stopped it from working at all – i.e. i cant even click along the slider, nor can i slide it.

    Kind Regards
