Are you using a plugin for that slider?

no just trying to use what comes with the theme

Looks like you’ve got a grid layout on that page instead of the slider, try these instructions:

    open up the Theme Customizer:

Under *Featured Content* select your preferred layout from the drop down.

When you’re done click Save and Publish.

did all that and it doesnt work thats why i have the grid up for now until i can figure out whats going on with the slider…
i used the “one click child theme” dunno if that had anything to do with it, i installed and activated the plug in rather then make a child theme from scratch just so i could center the page

ive deactivated all my plugins and it dosent work still, the only time it works is when i switch back to the original twenty fourteen theme and not the child on

Oh, could you link to a page with the issue? Generally if there’s a problem with sliders then you can debug it through the browser.

    what do you mean?

So that we can see a page with the issue

I’m not sure, you said you had a grid layout? All I can see relating to a slider on that page is this:

    [wonderplugin_slider id=”1″]

i actually found out the problem for some reason it was the Q2W3 Fixed Widget that was disabling the top slider, once i deactivate that plugin i can use the slider rather then the grid but is there abother way i can get a plugin that does the same as Q2W3 Fixed Widget??

Might be worth seeing if there’s a fix for that first by creating a topic on your plugin’s support section here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/q2w3-fixed-widget#postform
