    Hi BecScambler,

Slider is not working because text is supported as caption of slider. However, we can see youtube iframe used in your post.

As excerpt is used as caption if you can add few line of text in excerpt field of the posts assigned for slider.

For more details click here to see screenshot.

Feel free to post your problem if you are not able to fix it.

    Thank you.

Hi mrtom414 I haven’t deactivated anything, my whole site got messed up with the previous theme update, I did the latest one today but haven’t deactivated anything.

Thanks Rigorous Themes I tried your suggestion but no joy.

I have found this error message: TypeError: jQuery(‘.home-bxslider’).bxSlider is not a function. (In ‘jQuery(‘.home-bxslider’).bxSlider’, ‘jQuery(‘.home-bxslider’).bxSlider’ is undefined)

    any other thoughts? thank you.

    Hello,
The excerpt function doesn’t work with the iframe tags if no actual content is present. So you have two ways here , either you will have to add some content to the post where you have added video like this

    <iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/prbt97lQ7pk&#8221; width=”560″ height=”315″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”></iframe> A video about something. I should always add content after a video.

or you can create a child theme, then on the child theme copy the sidebar.php file. Open the file and you can see profitmag_sidebar_excerpt(get_the_content()); on line number 73 and 158
remove the phrase and add only the_content(); between the <?php and ?>

    that should do the trick.
If you find your issue to be solved and do not have any more queries on the topic please mark the thread resolved, from your right had sidebar.

    best regards

thank you. All video pages have content after the video, but changing the sidebar.php code worked for me. Thanks for taking the time to sort this for me 🙂
