• Thank you for this great Theme. I have set the slider on the homepage, but when I check on my mobile, it’s not responsive. The rest of the site is perfectly fine. For the images I made sliders with size of 1170px x 400 px.
    The site is: http://www.tan-go.nl/

Pls let me know where I go wrong.
    thanks!!

    regards
    Sandra

    Hello

We identified an issue with the slide content typography not being responsive, fix coming up in next release, the images should be responsive already

Hi there, thanks for looking at it… but really if you check on mobile or ipad, or on a normal laptop by decreasing my screen, you will really see that the images are not responsive!…

    regards

I’m having the same issue. The images are not responsive. Otherwise, this is a great theme!

    Thanks,

as promised I sent the screenshots of the screens as per email on reply of your personal email… one full screen, and one smaller where you clearly can see that the image is not resizing but cut off.

Sent you an email on the above email address

ok, I can only find emails with the noreply wordpress emailaddress. As I understand you correctly it can be in the fact that the height of the slider is set.
“If you set slider height, the image tries to be the same height on a mobile while covering the full width of the viewport as well.”

All the sliders are the same actual height (400px), but if I do not set it, the slider on the homepage (on laptop) uses a whole different size than my actual size of the images and the images in the slider look really weird. So I set it on 400px again.

    Anyway to solve this?

Next time just upload the screenshots on the internet and link them here. Unless you’re paying for something, you really shouldn’t be emailing people if you’re posting for support on these forums.

here the links to the images from my iphone and other screens.
here an example of one of the sliders.. all sliders show the same problem. Slider height is set to 400px.
If I don’t set the slider height the image will be enlarged on the screen and out of proportion, so that is no solution either.

    Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response, i was not able to respond back as i was travelling and had limited internet access

I have looked at the images :

iPhone – This is really a design decision and i am open for feedback on this, the slider images are actually set as a background, when we set the image height it tries to resize the image so that the image covers the entire width and height of the slide. In mobile screen because the height will be proportionally more to the width it enlarges the image which results in the image looking like it’s cropped. We can try different things – provide an optional slider height for mobile screens or decrease the slider height proportionally based on screen width. Both options have drawbacks on limiting the slider height and therby clipping the slider text. I will take a look at other free sliders and see how they are implementing. If you know any free slider which is GPL i am happy to include that in the theme.
This discussion is open for anyone and feel free to add your thoughts on the best way to make the slider fit all needs or even suggest a better alternative slider

Laptop – This seems to be a bug only with Firefox which doesn’t resize the slider when the window is resized, works ok in Chrome, will fix this bug in future release. Please note that the bug only happens when you resize the screen
