Support » Theme: Customizr » Slider link tooltip just says “Go to” – title would be more sensible

  • When the slider is configured for the whole slide to act as a link, the link itself is shown with a tooltip of just “Go to” based on the title attribute. This is confusing to the user.

    This is set in czr_fn_link_whole_slide. A better solution would be to use the slide title as the title attribute, or not have a title attribute at all.

    Using the title attribute can be done by changing one line of this function:

      function czr_fn_link_whole_slide( $slide_background, $link_url, $id, $slider_name_id, $data ) {
        if ( isset( $data['link_whole_slide'] )  && $data['link_whole_slide'] && $link_url )
          $slide_background = sprintf('<a href="%1$s" class="tc-slide-link" target="%2$s" title="%3$s">%4$s</a>',
                                    $link_url,
                                    $data['link_target'],
    /*
                                    __('Go to', 'customizr'),
    */
                                    $data['title'],
                                    $slide_background
          );
        return $slide_background;
      }

    I’m not sure how to do this easily in my child theme, but hopefully it can be fixed in the base theme.

    Cheers
