# Slider issue

 * I’ve removed the slider from the home page by selecting the Page Attribute Template
   to “Default Template”. However, I’m now getting a massive blank space where the
   slider should be.
 * Can anyone advise, not seeing anything jump out in the css. It only affects the
   home page.

 * What theme are you using? If it’s a CSS issue, it will be hard to help much without
   seeing the site.

 * I’m using the Salient theme. I’m developing on my local machine which prevents
   me from showing the site.
 * The funny thing is if I create a non-home page using “Default Template” everything
   is fine.

 * You should be able to use a browser tool like Firebug to look at the CSS for 
   the page and see what’s creating that space.
 * Without being able to see the site, hard to say much more especially since that’s
   a [commercial theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products)
 * Perhaps you can ask the developer of the theme?
