I want to use the Anything Slider in wordpress.

By far, i have a page (media.php), on which i have my loop of posts and each of those posts are basically thumbnails that link to albums (pictures)

I want to be able to use the slider to display 3 thumbnails(images) at a time, and more as i keep adding them.

I don't want to use an unordered list to display it, i don't want to use a plugin.

    Please help

Here's the code for the loop:

I think that jQuery UI offers a slider that can achieve what you are looking for.

Take a look on the jQuery UI website for a demo and further instructions - http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/

You'll find that most sliders will use some sort of unordered list. Even that "AnythingSlider" you mentioned, uses an unordered list to contain the slider content.

I'm aware that you said that you didn't want to use a plugin, but there are quite a few around that will allow you to create an image slider and insert it into a Page or Post relatively quickly and easily, without having to write a custom PHP loop to generate the content

Ah, got ya. An unordered list may not be necessary (or efficient, depending on how many images you have), but there has to be someway of getting the next/previous images. I use AJAX on my website, and although I haven't got a slider, to concept is the same - 'When a user cliks here, get the next post, when a user clicks there, get the previous post'. JS then allows you to add effects such as the slide.
