Support » Plugin: Slide Anything - Responsive Content / HTML Slider and Carousel » slider creates site security problem

  • So, I love the slider I’ve made but it’s creating a security problem on the page where I’ve put the shortcode. As an experiment I removed the shortcode entirely and the page’s connection was secure again. I also experimented with using the plugin’s sample slider shortcode and the connection is secure in that case, too.

So am I missing a setting in the slider I made?

Here’s the exact wording of the notice I see when I click on the gray circle with the lowercase “i” that is just left of URL:

“Your connection to this site is not fully secure

Attackers might be able to see the images you’re looking at on this site and trick you by modifying them.”

Any insights would be VERY appreciated!!!! Thank you.

If you have an SSL certificate and you are inserting images ( tags) with “src” links starting with “http:” then this would cause this error. Make sure all image “src” links start with “https:”.
