    I just updated from version 3.3.4 to 3.3.6 and now my slider does not work on my WordPress page. I am using the Genesis theme from StudioPress and it was working fine before the upgrade. I am on WordPress version 4.9.7 and get get a blank space where the slider should be. It takes up space in a post and on the main page of myh site, but there is nothing but whitespace. It does work when I do a preview when editing a slide.

    Hi @kb9tdj!

    This kind of problem can happen, when there is a JavaScript error on your page. You should use Chrome or Firefox to figure out what is it -> press F12 -> click on Console -> refresh the page with our slider on it. The error could point to a plugin and then you could try to turn that off, but if it points to the theme or to us, please send me a screenshot of it to support@nextendweb.com and we will tell you how to proceed from that! Also please send me a link to your website to this email address!

    Just follow up, I did some more digging and found the issue was due to a conflict with the cforms plugin. I deactivated and deleted the cforms plugin and all is now working.

    Hi @elenapetrova2017,
    could you get in touch with us? support@nextendweb.com

    I’m having the same problem. Updated to 3.3.6 this afternoon and now I’m getting the same error as @olena: “Smart Slider 3 requires PHP version 5.4+, plugin is currently NOT RUNNING.”

    I’m running PHP version 5.6

    Could you tell me where the already created sliders are stored on my server, since I’m not presently able to use the plugin to export them?

    Hi @newgreenshade,
    if Smart Slider tells that your PHP version is not 5.4+, then you can be sure that your PHP version is not met with the requirements. The best way to check your real PHP version is placing a phpinfo.php on your server with the following content:

    <?php
    phpinfo();

    then navigate to http://xyz.com/phpinfo.php and you should be able to check your real version. Screenshot example

    If you want to run Smart Slider on PHP 5.2 and PHP 5.3, you should downgrade to Smart Slider 3.2.14 which you can download here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/smart-slider-3.3.2.14.zip

    Just install this package and activate the plugin.

    Right you are!

    My host’s control panel says my site is running PHP version 5.6, but it turns out I’m running 5.3.

    Thank you for sending the link to the previous version.

    Great @newgreenshade, thanks for the feedback! BTW, if you can you should move to PHP 7.2 as you will gain huge speed improvements.
