[closed] Slider AND Posts Will NOT Display Together (6 posts)

2 posts (one with feature image) (Standard Format)
Home Page Categories: Test, Uncategorized - set selected.

Why can I not see any posts on the homepage (index)? If I switch to static page, then the slider goes away on the homepage and all I get is the page content.

I have no idea how I'm supposed to keep the slider (and its images) and get post excerpts under it.

    Please help. Thanks.

I guess a link would help..

Thanks for any help/assistance. I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong.. Reading Settings is set to Recent Posts NOT Static page.

Why do you have to have 5 posts beofore anything shows under the slider? and the featured image doesn't even come close to matching the thumbnail image - we're looking at 720x320 pixels to fit the slider and 300x226 for the thumbnail to a post?! however the "featured image" is used for both... makes absolutely no sense..

It's a great looking theme but lacks simple functionality like the option to choose what goes in the slider or the option to have what's displayed in the slider to also be displayed in blog exerpts..

    Simple code fix?!

You can create a new page and use the blog template and set as the home page then use a slider plugin to have more options with the slider.

What do you mean by a "slider plug-in"? I can't see how to add a slider at the top of a page based on the blog template. Basically, I want the slider at the top, with the excerpts of the posts below.

Slider plugins can be found on the plugins page:
