   have the one slide image?

 * I also would really like to disable the second slide on the homepage and have

 * Go to “Customize” then click on slider. Open “slide 2”, remove the image and 
   leave all fields blank. That should do it.

 * Leaving the other fields blank does not disable them. You have to purchase the
   pro version of the theme to customize how many slides you’d like in the slider.
