Support » Plugin: Meteor Slides » slide stacking above each other

  • I’m trying to use your plugin on a site I’m doing which uses the Black Look theme (on ThemeForest.) When using the short code for meteor slides within the homepage, the slides show up individually, one above each other. (ie: no slide show action). I tried adding the php tag to a template, and that didn’t show up anywhere.

    Any thoughts?

If you can see more than one slide at a time than both the JavaScript and CSS are not loading. I can’t look at the theme itself to see what is going wrong since it is commercial, but if you can post a link to the site you are working on I might be able to figure it out.

Thanks for the reply. Here is the site in progress: http://move-sport.com/

The head section of the site looks pretty empty, none of the files that Meteor Slides uses are loaded in there. The first thing I would do is check the header.php file of the theme and see if there is a wp_head tag in there.

Thanks for the heads-up on that. I did check the theme’s header file and it was missing the wp_head tag, as you said. (Sadly that theme is really poorly designed and I’ve blown hours trying to fix things.) I added the tag and now the slideshow works as it should.

And as always, you’re plugin & support is awesome!

Great, glad to hear that worked! That’s too bad you got a dud, ThemeForest can be really hit or miss. But there are also some really talented people in their marketplace, you just have to shop around and find the reputable developers.
