SKU question

    I’m looking for a way to add the SKU for each of my products in the shop. I would like it to appear on both the catalog page and also the single product page. Is there a simple way to do this? I have seen on several different sites that you can edit the SKU number for each product by going through Products>Edit>Product Data, but there is nothing in that section that has anything to do with SKUs. I know the SKUs exist because our orders display them, but I can’t find anyway to add them to the page.

    Hello @speedwrap1,
    SKU name must be unique and shouldn’t match with other product.
    You can add SKU by using following steps:

    1. Go to Products, then All Products tab. Here under Product data tab you need to select the suitable option matching your product criteria.

    2. In Product Data under Inventory tab, fill in SKU field.

    3. Click Update in order to save your product.

    There is nothing in the Product Data tab that has anything to do with SKU. When I open the product, the only thing that shows in the inventory tab is a “Sold Individually” checkbox. And also, I am looking for a way to display the SKU in the product catalog and the single product page

    If the SKU field is missing, it could be that a theme/plugin is throwing a JavaScript error in the WordPress admin area. It’s rare but it does happen.

    To check whether that’s the case, are you seeing the SKU field after temporarily deactivating all of your plugins (except WooCommerce) and switching to the default Twenty Seventeen theme?
