When I select some directories so they should not be copied, the plugin just ignores that. Is there a trick?

Do you have the same issue with the beta version from here?

Hi, I did not want to use the beta version, because I didnt want not endanger my live site… Or do you say it would be safe to?

Sorry, that I am too lazy to set up a test site, just to test your plugin. My Site takes more than 3 hours to be copied. But I did some translations 😉

It’s save to use. I will remove the beta status very soon and switch over from the beta version to the production one. We have more than 10.000 installations and there was never a broken one:-)

The copy process will be much faster if you are able to exclude some dirs, especially the ones which contain backup and temp files which are not needed in a staging version

    Did not work.
I deleted the old plugin and installed the beta.
Is the beta tested for installs that are in a subdirectory?
I changed the settings before starting the cloen process. The staging showed up as a subfolder of the folder of the live site, not as a sibling folder…

Did you marked the check box for sub dir installations? See: http://take.ms/q8dWF

yes, sorry, that’s what I meant by “changed the settings” . Went back to v1, where that option works.

I love your plugin. Will help to translate to German when you are ready with V2

    Hi @ralfralfralf

    > The staging showed up as a subfolder of the folder of the live site, not as a sibling folder…

Sibling would be wrong. The staging folder must be a subfolder of the live site.

    E.g. Live Site:
    htdocs/yoursite/index.php

Staging Site must be located in:
    htdocs/yoursite/stagingsite/index.php

    WRONG:
    htdocs/stagingsite/index.php

Otherwise the staging site is not working as intended

It’s possible that you have found a bug but we need to clarify this.

I am from germany as well:-)
