    to start, I am a newbie so please dumb down any answer if possible! In short, I’m using 2011 theme. I want to have a company logo in the top left corner on all pages instead of the page title text (Home, contact Us, etc.)This is the page title spot, not the header image. Through the forum, I figured out how to change the code and get the logo to appear, but no matter what I do, I can’t size the image appropriately. It is way too big. changing image size only makes the image higher or lower res., doesn’t actually change the size on the screen. Website is . You can see how big the logo appears. If needed, I can copy and paste any code to the forum if it helps. Thanks!

    There’s a style creating a width of 100% to any images in the HTML element <header id="branding">

    #branding img {
     height: auto;
     margin-bottom: -7px;
     width: 100%;

    Hence the logo is “way too big”.

    Here’s some CSS that can solve this;

    #branding h1 img {
     width: auto;

    I’ve noticed you’re not using a Child Theme. You should use a Child Theme because Twenty Eleven is a default theme and is vital for debugging problems. Another reason is that any change to original theme files will erase once the theme updates.

    So you need a header.php and a style.css file in your Child Theme.

    Amazing. Worked like a charm. thx. I know about the whole child theme thing. It’s on my list of things to do.
