 * Hi,
 * I’m thinking about buying the Pro version but still don’t understand how the
   plugin works, even the free version. I’ve read your tutorial, faq, other site
   reviews and still find the concept confusing as there is conflicting information.
 * You say, upload an image that is twice the size as you want it displayed, but
   then when I open the plugin it says:
    The full-size images should have a resolution
   of 2048×2048 at least for the plugin to be able generate the 4 retina images
   required by your website. Therefore, must all my images be at least 2048×2048?
 * Also, for full page width images say 1920 x 500 must I upload an image 3840 x
   1000 ?
 * It would be nice to have an option on upload that gives you sizes to select.
   For instance, if I’m uploading a full width slider image, why do I need all the
   other sizes generated for retina?
 * Thanks
    Steve

 * Almost forgot…
 * which is the best setting for WordPress 5+
 * Most websites recommend PictureFill and so does the plugin but on the Plugin
   page you say:
    Ideally, I would recommend using the Responsive Images method,
   then if it doesn’t work, the PictureFill method (which covers normally most cases).
   Retina.js should be the fallback method.
 * I’m using GP Pro and Elementor Pro.
 * Thanks

 * Oh well, not much point in buying an unsupported plugin then.

 * To be honest, Retina is not an easy subject. If you have very specific questions,
   please ask them, especially in the FAQ or in the Tutorial. I will make it better.
   But the concept itself is confusing. If you understand it perfectly before using
   the plugin, then the plugin will feel logical as well.

 * This is merely a recommendation actually and I thought of removing it many times.
   But it’s a pointer for people who understand the whole process. If you upload
   original files of this size, then there will be no problem for the plugin to
   generate all the image sizes. If it’s less, then it will depend, and in that
   case, you need to check the blue-orange-red squares in the Retina Dashboard.

 * I have a family and it was the weekend already in Japan. For the sake of everyone,
   my customers, and family, I need to make priorities. Of course, paid customers
   are high in my priorities.
 * About RetinaJs, if it is enough for you, please use it. It doesn’t generate images,
   doesn’t handle responsive, HTML rewriting or anything at all. It’s an old script
   that was released for the MacBook Pro Retina.

 * Hi Jordy,
 * I guess they have a 3 day weekend in Japan then, I might have to move there,
   sounds nice 😉
 * I can’t argue with family – although I seem to argue with mine all the time 😉
 * I read the tutorial and faq again and its beginning to make more sense, I think.
 * Am I correct in saying:
 * 1. WP and WP Retina 2x Free both need uploaded images to be a minimum of 2048
   x whatever, to create all the image sizes and retinas?
 * 2. The Pro version is needed if you want to use an image larger than 2048 x whatever?
 * 3. For full width images, for example 1920 x 500, I need to upload an image size
   of 3840 x say 1000, and the plugin can handle that?
 * 4. Which is the best setting for WordPress 5+? Most websites recommend PictureFill
   and so does the plugin but on the Plugin page you say: Ideally, I would recommend
   using the Responsive Images method, then if it doesn’t work, the PictureFill
   method (which covers normally most cases).
 * Thanks.

 * Hi Jordy,
 * I purchased the Pro version and completed the contact form on your website but
   I haven’t had a reply. Can you at least let me know if/when you intend to reply
   as I have clients waiting.
 * Thanks

 * Hi Steve,
 * Sorry, yes, I will reply. Sorry, I really got a lot of emails recently, some
   of them were also very urgent and took me days of debugging, wasn’t so much fun
   🙁
 * For sizes related issues, I am also trying to reduce the number of emails I receive
   by updating the tutorial, actually, the tutorial should reply to all questions
   right now, and I actually reply faster when the messages are very straightforward
   and a bit more related to the tutorial. I am trying to optimize the support +
   the tutorial (it’s for everyone’s good :p).

 * Oh sorry, actually, did you send me that message, asking for help? I mean, either
   in the comments of my tutorial’s page or directly through the customer support
   of Meow Apps? I am not allowed (by WordPress.org) to reply to users of the Pro
   version here in fact…

 * Hi Jordy,
 * Yes, I completed your customer support form 2 days ago.
 * The questions above were asked before I bought the Pro version.
 * Thanks

 * Hi Jordy,
 * Can you give me a timescale on how long I have to wait for support on the above
   questions please? I had hoped you would reply yesterday, Friday being a support
   day. Will I have to wait until Tuesday or even Thursday/Friday now?
 * I’ve already waited 6 days. To be honest I would have found another solution
   had I known how long this might take. There very simple questions that don’t
   need any debugging.
 * Also, I bought your Pro version in good faith as you said you provided better
   support for paying customers but now it seems like your not even aware of my
   support request, submitted through the contact form on your website, at least
   2-3 days ago?
 * Can you confirm you received my support request through your contact form please?
 * Thanks
    Steve

 * Hi,
 * I have received it and will reply today. Sorry for the delay. I get many emails
   every day and I really need to prioritize. My priority is people with major or
   critical issues. In your case, it’s just a bit more optimization but everything
   seems to work already, so waiting for my reply you could work on something that
   has more impact on your business. No need to spend time on writing more emails
   to me, that is time for both of us; and obviously, my head is already under water
   so it just adds more pressure and basically delay as well. Please bear with me,
   the reply is coming.
