    Hey, I recently changed my theme to adelle theme but the size of the photos on my posts are way smaller than usual. I've tried changing it from large to medium, i've increased the media maximum height and width as well. How do i fix this?

    and I'd also like to know how i can change the color of the sides/ background of the page like in: http://boudoirblog.christieconyer.com/

    and is it possible to set a featured image for my blog posts? like how the posts in http://www.thelondoner.me has "read more.." and a featured image after?

    my site is: http://www.steakiteasy.me

    Are you using any custom css plugin ?
    1)Image sizing
    It's happening because of over riding css in mystyle.css line 34

    .site-header img, .entry-content img, img.size-full{
    max-width: 65%;
    }

    You need to make it to 100%.

    2) Background
    In mystyle.css line 40

    .site-container {
     background: white!important;
      overflow: hidden;
    }

    you need to change the color white to whatever color you want.If you want image as background use

    .site-container {
     background: url('YOUR IMAGE PATH');
      overflow: hidden;
    }

    3) We can do that . For that we need to create a child theme
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    and override the file content-list.php line 9-14

    <?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { ?>
        <?php $url = wp_get_attachment_url( get_post_thumbnail_id($post->ID) ); ?>
          <?php the_post_thumbnail( 'post_thumb', array('class'=>'alignleft') ); ?>
        <?php } ?>

          <?php the_content(); ?>

    with

    <?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { ?>
        <?php $url = wp_get_attachment_url( get_post_thumbnail_id($post->ID) ); ?>
          <?php the_post_thumbnail('full' ); ?>
        <?php } ?>

          <?php the_content('readmore'); ?>

    You can use excerpts..

    It's worth noting that WP crops image only once upon upload. When changing theme, only newly uploaded images get the new sizes as used in new theme.

    Make sure if this is part of the issue. If so, install this plugin and run it once.

    The css for the image sizing worked great but it made my header too big now. How do I keep it the same size without changing the size of my header?

    Coming to your question how to override .

    I think you might have created a child theme with style.css and correctly linked the parent theme and imported those parent styles.

    Now you have to do

    1)Copy the the content-list.php from parent theme and paste in the child theme , after doing that
    replace the code lines 9-14
    with the code

    <?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { ?>
        <?php $url = wp_get_attachment_url( get_post_thumbnail_id($post->ID) ); ?>
          <?php the_post_thumbnail( 'full' ); ?>
        <?php } ?>

          <?php the_content('ReadMore'); ?>
