Support » Everything else WordPress » Size of my website for back-up

  • Hi, I am new to this and can’t find another way to ask a quick question, I am going live tomorrow and need to find out how big my website is so I can ensure that I have the correct amount of storage space to back it up?
Any ideas how I can’t find this out?
    Thanks

  • Hi, @mmprs

You can go to yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/site-health.php?tab=debug under the Directories and Sizes tab you will see the info you want.

If you backup everything, then you’ll want to look for Total installation size.

If you backup only uploads + themes + plugins + DB (that is for a smaller backup – but still it has everything you need), then you’ll have to sum up:

    Uploads directory size +
    Themes directory size +
    Plugins directory size +
    Database size

    Total (without core files)

    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards!

Thank you, Vlad. I found this to be very helpful. After using this link, I noticed that I could also find the information under Dashboard ->Tools->Site-> Health-> Info

Awesome! Glad you found this helpful!
