Sitewide Author Avatars Options has no choices available

  • Hi!

    Just installed this plugin, and it is enabled in all blogs. At the settings, there’s debug error: Notice: Undefined index: action in /home/xxxx/xxxx/html/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars/lib/AuthorAvatarsSitewideAdminPanel.class.php on line 52

    And Avatar list settings > Enable blog filter says: Sorry, no choices available.

    Hi! Yes, it is a multisite (Quite fresh 3.9.1). And thank you for such a fast response 🙂

    De-activated previous one, and deleted it. Uploaded dev version. Activated it network wide, just in case, thou planning to use the plugin only on main site.
    Debug error is now gone, but still in Avatar list settings > Enable blog filter says: Sorry, no choices available.

    @pbearne

    OK I will have look at this

    How many sites to you have

    can provide an screen shot?

    Thanks again 🙂 There’s currently only main site and two blogs. Here’s a screenshot: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=sp7m0y&s=8#.U6xOI6jk86E

    And if it matters; blogs seem to be fine, and I was able to pull data from them to main site sitebar with this: http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/a-featured-blog-plugin-for-wordpress-multisite–wp-24897 so they do exist, and they have ID:s.

    OK

    I need to work this out

    All this does is allow to set a site to be-able to list authors from all sites

    so some how the code is failing to find the sites I guess there has been a change that I have caught

    I will get to it ASP and let you know when its fixed

    Paul

    Ok, great!

    This is just an uneducated guess, but based on what I have now tested with that fresh 3.9.1, it seems that something might have changed compared to previous versions. Most of the normal plugins work fine, but it gets messy everytime, when I install plugin, that is supposed to do stuff network wide.

    For example only fully working solution, at least without getting any debug errors for retrieving data from other blogs to sidebar widget, is the one I posted earlier. And I’ve tested several plugins that are supposed to do that.

    Hi! Any news with this issue?

    Hi Elii_k

    I have just loaded my test site on 2.9.2 and I am see the options and I am see the select

    I did quick test and set the to Mature as well as public and found it went away

    Do you have public tick in site settings?

    Do you Mature (or any other settings) ticked?

    As looking in the code the SQL is
    public = ‘1’ AND archived = ‘0’ AND mature = ‘0’ AND spam = ‘0’ AND deleted = ‘0’”

    so Public on it own only any other value ticked will cause the site not to show in the list

    Paul

    Hi! Setting ‘Mature’ has not been ticket.

    I’ve also gone all settings thru several times, to make sure that plugin is activated on all blogs, etc. Also tested, if option to use also gravatars messes something up, but no effect.

    I do have some new info thou. Since my first post here, I have made a completely fresh installation. After that I was able to select blog id 1 from the list. Later on I’ve created new blogs, some of them manually, and some of them with cloning tool. And these blogs that were cloned, are now on the list. Original blog for clones (which also was made manuallly) is not listed.

    this strange

    If workout what is diff or can recreate let me know

    Paul

    Sorry, I really do not have answer to that. All the blogs cloned naturally inherit exactly the same options/setting than orginal blog had. And now after updating the plugin to most recent version, blog 1 has dissapered from the list.

    I am sorry but I can’t see what is going wrong here. If you have a coder you can look at this I would take a patch if they can work it out
