    Hi guys,

Just came upon something that is unforeseen.

If I wanted to edit something like the comment box (which keeps you logged in if you’re – er – logged in) this means that no inputs are available for Name, Email Address and URL – as you’re logged in.

If I wanted to remove the URL box, how would I do that if I were logged in?

    Hi @steveraven

Ahh the URL spam magnet field 🙂 Unfortunately, it isn’t possible at the moment to edit from the logged out view. Perhaps you’d be interested in properly removing the URL field?

The above post discusses how to either use a plugin or a snippet. If you use the code snippet, don’t edit your theme’s functions.php file unless you’re using a child theme. If aren’t using a child theme then I recommend using a plugin like Code Snippets to add the function.

I don’t know that hiding the URL field will help for bots so removing it at a code level is probably a better option.

Yes, I already did that – but it would be nice to be able to do it straight from Siteorigin in the CSS.

I was doubtful about this – hey, not even CSS Hero can do ‘logged out’ features, but I thought I’d ask anyway.

Super, glad to hear you’ve made progress with the task. Sorry, SO CSS can’t assist with this one 🙂 All the best.
