• Hi
My XML sitemaps are working fine. But a single sitemap of old posts is showing up an error if clicked.
It says: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/telugsvb/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 572

And i even found that my site is being indexed randomly on google. I mean if i see my posts on google today and they go missing for the next two days.

    Please help!

    Hey there,

Google’s search results are constantly changing. They have different servers around the world serving up different sets of results for every user. I’d pay less attention to the search result pages and more attention to trends in Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools (both of which you should be using as a publisher).

For your sitemaps: Looks like you’ve turned it off, but my guess is that the large number of posts on your site exceeded the limit of your server settings. It timed out as it tried to generate the sitemap.

    Hence this message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/telugsvb/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 572
