    I have recently started using Yoast seo plug in for a new site.. i have submitted the sitemap to google webmaster and it is coming back with a ‘wrong format error’. I have http://www.mywebsite and non www. website registered and both have the error.

    I looked on microsoft edge and can see the sitemap properly.
    I used IE11 and get this error message only…

    setInterval(function(){ jQuery.ajax({ url: ‘http://www.mywebsite.co.uk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=tc_get_stream_update’ , type: ‘post’ , dataType: ‘json’ , data: ” , beforeSend: function() { }, success: function() { } }); }, 60000);

    I dont know if it is related but I am also getting about 20 crawl errors in google webmaster –
    wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=quick_view_ultimate_reload_cart&security=09d135c33c

    SOLUTION – I deactivated a few plugins and worked out that the plugin called TWITTER CART By Browserweb Inc was causing the sitemap issue in IE11
    And the sitemaps are now submitted to google webmasters
