Support » Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps » Sitemap issue

  • Hi so i recently created a wordpress site with over a million custom posts and have installed the google sitemap generator plugin. the problem im having now is that the sitemap functionality doesnt seem to be working. To be more specific a sitemap is generated but the custompost type underwhich the one million posts exists does not show up in the created sitemap although it sppears as an option to include it. I dont think its a resource issue as im running on a dual xeon 3.5ghz server with 16gb ram with data being dished from SSD drives. does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Hello;

    I am having the EXACT same issue. I checked the option to include custom post types, but NONE of them are showing up in the sitemap.

    PLEASE someone respond! I see that it’s been 3 weeks since “zerackam” posted his issue with no response.

    dear zerackam and Fantastiko
    i have this problem too
    but in my research the problem is resource ( php memory limit and script timeout )
    if you have more than 500k pages you need php memory limit at least 1GB
    and excuting time atleast 30sec
    it’s just resource limit

    for this problem you need dedicated server that is unmanaged because in all of managed dedicated servers problem exist ( it’s depend on server resource limit )

    have a great day
    thanks and good luck
