Hi, I am working with a client who is using Yoast SEO to generate the product sitemap for their ecommerce website. We’re seeing a bunch of warnings in this client’s Google Search Console, regarding missing “Brand” attributes and images.

We note that you recommend purchasing “Yoast WooCommerce SEO” to “make your life better.” Can you confirm whether this plugin is necessary to add the missing schema info? Here is a short list of the missing attributes…
    + Missing field “Brand”
    + Missing field “image”
    + Missing field “sku”
    + Missing field “description”
    + Missing field “review”
    + Missing field “aggregateRating”

Will your commercial Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin allow us to configure these product attributes in the sitemap schema?

I think that the addon Yoast WooCommerce SEO can’t help in this case because WooCommere already generates some fields if it’s possible. It isn’t related with sitemaps.

If a product doesn’t have reviews then isn’t possible to generate “review” or “aggregateRating”. You can look last comments in https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/22896

It’s similar for other fields, but I think that “Brand” isn’t supported in WooCommerce or Yoast WooCommerce SEO.

Anyway, these warnings don’t affect indexing a website.

If your site runs on WooCommerce and Yoast SEO you need WooCommerce SEO. It fixes that dreaded “Either ‘offers’, ‘review’ or ‘aggregateRating’ should be specified” error for you: automatically! It gives Google everything it needs to figure out your products are products and thus increases your chances of getting those important rich results.
