You can access your sitemap by visiting yoursite/sitemap_index.xml
e.g example.com/sitemap_index.xml (Replace example.com with your site url)
I hope this helps.
@dawdaw if that doesn’t work, post your site URL so I can help check it out.
I think you have the yoast sitemap feature turned off.
Log in to your WordPress website. When you’re logged in, you will be in your ‘Dashboard’. On the left-hand side, you will see a menu.
In that menu, click on ‘SEO’.
2.
The ‘SEO’ settings will expand providing you additional options. If you don’t see the ‘XML Sitemaps’ setting in your ‘SEO’ menu, enable your advance settings.
3. Under XML sitemap functionality – Toggle on enabled by clicking on enabled.
I hope that helps. If it does kindly mark this topic as resolved.

The map is on. Still the same, please help
Let’s try a new approach.
Uninstall the Yoast SEO plugin – Delete the plugin – clear all caches (if you have a caching plugin installed)
Now install back the plugin – activate it and see if its working.
After activating
Go to ‘Permalinks’, change the settings from your preferred permalink option to something else and save.
Change back to your preferred permalink settings and save.
That should be it.
Permalink is under Settings.
You could even try this and if it doesn’t work you could go ahead and delete the yoast plugin and repeat the process.
