Same problem with Sitemaps here since 4.0.10.
The sitemap works for the sites I manage, after I have done the tour because of the automatic updates without it being activated.Except that there is now <loc language=””> whereas before it was <loc> for version 3.7.1.
Hello? Hello? Anybody home?
What the fuck… I’m tired of this bullshit, I’m tired of your bullshit…

Hi!
Same problem with Sitemaps here since 4.0.10. Sitemap links are redirected all to the homepage. No site maps exist, only a redirection to home page with no xml.
The plugin too autoupdated to 4.0.10 when we had “autoupdates turned off”.
Thanks for checking.
Same problem here. It auto updated to 4.0.10, and then broke the sitemap, with all sitemap links redirecting to the posts/news page on the site. Rolled back to 4.0.9 but now have to keep going back to check if it hasn’t auto-updated again (despite auto updates turned off)
Just put “sitemap indexing” off in the sitemap settings, that works

Hey guys,
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you.
We’re pushing out a fix for this in the next hour. Please sit tight while we’re working on a release for this.

@kneti @harryshepherdwork @babouille:
With regard to the auto-updates, can you navigate to General Settings > Advanced and make sure auto-updates are disabled at the bottom (as seen here – https://a.supportally.com/vZutJV)?
Here’s our documentation about it – https://aioseo.com/docs/enabling-automatic-updates-for-all-in-one-seo/

auto update was disabbled in my case, it still pushed the last update through
I have disabled updates on all the sites I manage. In the end there were 4 that updated themselves, without asking anyone for anything. It’s been a real mess since 3.7.1 <= And I chew my words !!!
If we had to compare the referencing to a Formula 1 race, the pit stop (the multitude of updates of your free or paying plugin) has just made us go from the first place to the eighteenth. A real disaster for a plugin that is supposed to help improve its SEO.

Hey @babouille,
We’ve decided to remove our own auto-update functionality all together since this issue seems to be happening on a limited amount of websites and we aren’t able to reproduce it on our end.
Unfortunately, because the current version still includes that code, it will probably auto-update one more time.
If the issue goes away after 4.0.12, then we must have messed something up and that’s definitely on us. If it doesn’t go away however, then there might be some obscure WordPress bug that you’re running into and we’ll continue to troubleshoot that accordingly.
