Hello @rautudenis,
Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.
The sitemaps on your website are loading properly.
However, we accessed the sitemap as Googlebot and a 403 (forbidden) status is returned. Here’s a screenshot for a quick reference: https://i.rankmath.com/gH5eoa
Please get in touch with your web host regarding this and ensure that the sitemaps are properly accessible.
Once done, please follow the below steps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of Rank Math from your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml.
Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue gets fixed.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
They told me:
`Hello,
Those sitemaps are not found in public_html, hence the 404 error.
Where you have them, you need to add them directly to public_html.`
Do you have any idea how can I do that?

Hello @rautudenis,
You don’t need to have any physical files for your sitemap as we employ a method of generating them on the fly.
So, it’s perfectly normal that there are no physical files called sitemap_index.xml
and similar.
The route used to access the sitemap seems to be forbidden and as such you need to unblock Googlebot from accessing those URLs.
You need to make sure that accessing the route for your sitemap via Googlebot or any other returns a successful status.
Hope this helps solve your issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hello,
Thank you, but I don’t understand how to make those things like unblock Googlebot from accessing those URLs or accessing the route for your sitemap via Googlebot or any other returns a successful status.
Can you give me an example please? This is the only website where I have this problem…
Hello @rautudenis,
Here’s one example from Cloudflare for allowing Googlebot to access the website: https://community.cloudflare.com/t/firewall-rule-to-allow-googlebot/277346
Please note that this will highly depend on the firewall you have on your website and as such you need to discuss this in detail with either the hosting provider or the firewall provider in case it’s different.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
