Hi @besoyfree thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re facing issue with setting up Site Kit on your site. So we can determine more on this please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Have you tried to temporarily deactivate any caching or optimization plugin if you have any active on your site?
    3. If you’re not using a caching or optimization plugin can you share your current hosting provider? There may be some optimizations applied at host level which could be triggering this notice.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Hi @adamdunnage I submitted my Site Health information through the private form. I did deactivate all the plugins and tried to activate SiteKit, but to no avail. I am using Bluehost for hosting.

@besoyfree thanks for the information. You mentioned above that you have added the DNS text record data so that Google Search Console knows I own the site. Did you do this here and can you see your site in your list of sites?

If not please could you try adding and verifying your site here and trying again in Site Kit. Could you please also try setting up Site Kit in an Incognito browsing window to see if this makes any difference.

@adamdunnage Dude, you rock! That last link worked, now when I go to set up site kit it tells me that it recognizes me as the owner. Really appreciate the help.
