Hi @simon_a6,
Thanks for getting in touch. You’re correct that the Site Kit dashboard, and not specifically, the Analytics data, is only viewable to administrator roles only.
There is a dashboard sharing feature coming soon to the plugin, which will allow other roles to be able to view limited data, as defined by a site administrator. While I don’t have a definitive release date of this feature at this time, it is expected to be released at some stage soon.
Let me know if you have any further questions on this.
Might I Ask why this is not already a feature?
Plugins like GAinWP allow you to assign any user to it, which is ideal. You create a website for a client, and they can see their stats on the dashboard. Seems to be a ‘given’ to me – why wouldn’t you have it there already?!
I did see a ticket going back to 2020 about this, but as yet still no news on it being enabled.
this plugin allows you to do more in a simple process, but to block the website owner “shop manager” from viewing the stats, seems very counter productive.
For future website, I Will likely use a different plugin, as this is causing issues.

Hi Simon,
Might I Ask why this is not already a feature?
Great question! Users did ask this previously and there are various security and user data concerns. This is covered in the comments below:
https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/6#issuecomment-659957939
Other plugins may have similar features however I can’t be sure how other plugins work or operate. We are working hard to get this right with all security concerns addressed.
For future website, I Will likely use a different plugin, as this is causing issues.
Sorry to hear that. I will pass on this feedback to the wider team.
Ok thanks.
Just seems totally out of whack with what clients want. To have a website created then view traffic.
Sitekit prevents Shop Manager from viewing their traffic. Why would it do that at all?
I understand it might not be ideal for you at present, if you’re looking to share the Site Kit dashboard with a non administrator role. The dashboard sharing feature will be released soon. Hopefully that will solve your specific use case.
Ok I appreciate that.
We will use an alternative plugin that automatically has this feature, until such a method is enable don SiteKit.
It’s just terribly inconvenient when the client asks “how do I see the traffic, you said there was a lovely tool for it”, and as such we have to unlock everything, for them to see just that.
Thank you tho.
Simon
