Site5, Installed, unshakable "Home" page

I have a Site5 hosting ( http://www.hykick.com ) and I installed WordPress via Fantastico. I installed one of the premium themes that Site5 provides with purchase of a domain and hosting and tried to start anew but this awful “Home” page will not go away. Under the “Pages” tab it says only one exists (the one I created (“about”)) yet the landing page “Home” is always first. I even purchased a book on WordPress, which was a bit too dumbed down, and read the entire thing. I was told any host and using WordPress was “idiot-proof” by a (pompous but selfishly knowledgeable) friend. So far I feel like an idiot. Everything has gone wrong. I want to delete WordPress but it’s almost as much work to undo everything etc. as to ask for help from strangers.

I’ve heard WordPress is great but so far I have not enjoyed a moment of it and it’s been time and cost- consuming. I appreciate whatever help anyone can offer. If you don’t know how to use it… who’s supposed to teach you?
