Site worked this morning but not this afternoon!

    My home page no longer opens and I can’t access the dash. I can FTP and cpanel the site and I checked with my host and they reported no problems on their end.

    Any ideas why a site that worked fine (both home page and dash) this morning would decide to quit working this afternoon? I’ve cleaned my cache, tried different PCs. No new software/hardware changes since this morning. I’m sure it’s something obvious but I’m baffled!

    Have you checked your database? You could also try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Thanks for the tips and the link – some useful information there. The site and dash are loading normally again just a mysteriously as they quit working. I suspect it was something on the host end (in spite of their assurances)
