Support » Fixing WordPress » Site very slow when logged in

  • Hi gang, I have built a site and it had an A Grade speed all ready to launch.
I pointed a new domain to it and suddenly the speed has dropped to an F Grade Speed

The site is fast when nobody is logged in (but that may be Cloudflare cached) When I log in as an Admin, the front end of the site is painfully slow.

I have the SiteGround Optimiser plugin on there and I activated the “Combine JS and Minify CSS” was this a bad move?

I turned the plugin off but things remained slow and F Graded.

Im a designer, not a dev so apologies in advance if this is an obvious fix

Does whichever tool is giving you these grades not show you any reason for the “F” grade? That’s where I’d start troubleshooting from.

This is a host-specific feature which we don’t have access to, making it impossible for us to offer any guidance on that. Have you reached out to your host about this?

Maybe it’s an obvious fix. Maybe not. But it’s impossible for us to tell “site unseen”.

For starters, if you could share your website address and the name of the tool giving you this F grade, we might be able to explain to you what the tool is seeing and the reason for this F grade.

    Good luck!
