    Hey there,
Am struggling here with post domain mapping issue.

The original url domain was http://theDomain.com.au/newName/
After the domain mapping the url looks like http://newName.com.au and it works.

    However,
Under superAdmin -> Sites -> (theSite) -> setting
and then under ‘Siteurl’ and ‘Home’ i get: http://com.au/newName/.

Clearly was trying to change and update and was crossing fingers really hard but it didn’t work, it was breaking something else.

    Furthermore,
Under superAdmin -> Sites -> (theSite) -> info
    Domain: http:newName.com.au
    Path: /
But under ‘Update siteurl and home as well’, even though i ticked the box, every time I update it is un-ticking itself.

The result is that no pictures are coming up as well as from the backend I cant really login to that site (I can but not the correct way).

    Cheers,

That’s because you edited the domain & path in the site edit screen. Go back and undo the edit.

The point of the DM plugin is it allows you to map a domain to the site without editing the domain/path of the site.

    Hey Ron,
Thanks for getting back to me.

I understand from you that basically Im done. I mean, once at site’s main dashboard (Not the super admin) as I set the new domain as Primary, hit update… then i’m done? no farther action should be taken?

Im asking because at the backend of the site, again not at the super admin I can still see the old sub-folder structure url. (e.g. http://theDomain.com.au/newName/wp-admin) where I would expect to see http://newName.com.au/wp-admin.

Yes, that’s the way DM works. It updates the URLs on the site dynamically when generating the content on the front end of the site.

    Okay mate thanks for that!

Thank you for the help and assistance with clarifying the matter.

    I reckon this is resolved.

    Cheers!
