site title and tagline not updating

    I keep trying to update my site title and tagline but it doesn’t stick. I click publish after updating the text and it seems to work, but when I go check it still says the old title (mindset coaching) and old tagline (for solopreneurs and over-thinkers). I’ve tried clearing my browser cache but nothing changes. Any ideas?

    Hello there,

    You may still have active caching on your site. If you don’t have caching enabled from your site’s dashboard, you web hosting may enable the cache in the background. You may want to contact your web hosting service to help clear the cache.

    Thanks Kharis. I’ll check with my hosting provider. I think the issue is on that end because I’ve tried everything else in the article you directed me towards.

    Hi Kharis, I’ve switched hosting to siteground and I’m still having the same issue. I don’t have a cache plug-in on my site. Other changes update on my site immediately, but the site title and tagline just won’t update. Any other ideas?

    Hello there,

    Please try switching to one of defalut WordPress theme temporarily. Delete the Sydney theme. Reinstall and activate Sydney. Have a check and see how it works for you.

    Hi Kharis, I’ve switched to a staging site to test the default themes so I don’t disrupt my users. I’ve tried multiple default themes now but no luck. It keeps reverting to the old site title and tagline. I’ve also tried deactivating and uninstalling plugins. No luck. Any other ideas of options to try? Thanks!

    Please provide me the screenshots of your settings in dashboard and your site’s frontend.

    You can use free file sharing service like Cloudup.com or Google Drive. And post their links as you reply to this thread.
