Site title and description change to the same all the time

    Hello,

    I have been trying to change my site tittle and description so I can have like:

    site title: Sitename
    site description: something about your site here!

    But every time I perform a change I get the site title mixed up with the description, I get:

    Sitename something about your site here!

    I don’t really know how to change this anymore.

    Can someone help me?

    where does that show?
    – in the dashboard?
    – in the meta title?
    – in the site?

    Usually in some pages I introduce the url to check if its according to search engines specifications. Says the title of the page is too long. According to Google analyzer it’s OK. But just want to understand why this happens. It’s in the meta yes.

    the meta title is either generated by some code (in header.php?) of your currently used theme, or by a seo plugin if you are using one.

    and what theme are you using?

    not all themes allow the plugin to fully take over the generation of the meta title.

    can you post a link to you site to illustrate the meta title output?

    also, try posting in https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo#postform

    I am using Genesis with Metro – Pro. I went to Apperance / Editor and I have the error: This theme is broken. Template is missing. Do you have any idea how to fix this?
