# Site time-out

 * Hi guys,
 * I have set up my site (well, it is still a work in progress). I had some trouble
   earlier installing Jetpack, as I would get the message that I have exceeded the
   memory when I go to the customize menu.
 * However, I deactivated Jetpack for now (will fix that issue later) and all was
   fine. Until…
 * When I look at my site on my iphone (to check how it looks) while looking at 
   the site on my pc, the pc browser says the site has timed out and won’t let me
   visit any pages. This continues until I stop looking on my iphone.
 * They are both running through the same wifi connection.
 * Any help on this would be great.
 * By the way, I would note, I have installed a few plugins in-between deactivating
   Jetpack and having this new problem. However, the site was working fine for hours
   until now.

 * For the jetpack installation you just need to go to your wp config file and add
   this code:
 * define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’);
 * Try to disable your plugins and activating it back one by one to check if one
   of the plugins causes the time out.
 * You may also want to clear the cache and cookies of your browser.

 * Thanks, I will add that code now.
 * As for the time out. It seems to happen only when the mobile is visiting a page
   called ‘free tools’ on this page there are no new plugins, only a getresponse
   sign up form.

 * Just added the line of code to wp config and I’m still having the same issues.
   Any idea about that?

 * Just an additional update:
 * I have checked using a few different laptops at the same time – no issue.
 * The issue seems to happen when a device is accessing the mobile version of the
   site (tested 2 different iphones). This means the desktop version gets the err_connection_timed_out
   message. This happens when the mobile is accessing the ‘free tools’ section on
   the site.
 * My hosting is with godaddy, if that makes any difference.

 * Just tried it on an iPhone 6- loaded okay though not fast. That err connection
   message isn’t unusual on GD, BTW. Looks like you have a lot of plugins and complicated
   stuff loading, so you could try deactivating them to see if any are specifically
   causing the problem.

 * Thanks for testing.
 * Yes it’s fine on the iphone, but not fine on my laptop while I’m using the iphone(
   I know it doesn’t make much sense, but happens every time).
 * When I visit the ‘free tools’ page via iphone, the laptop can no longer access
   any section of the site, even wp-admin.

 * Is this when they are on the same network? Have you tried clearing the cache 
   and cookies on your phone and laptop.

 * Yes on the same network. I have cleared the cache on both but will try again.
 * What could the issue be with the cache?

 * Also try flushing the DNS –
 * [https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html](https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html)
 * Restart router, modem, everything!
 * Might be an ISP issue.
