    We are giving this plugin a try, it’s not redirecting based on our setting of a forced ssl if you type in the pointed domain it should be ssl but its coming up normal.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • As I recall you need to specify the https:// protocol in your redirect url.
    We stopped using this plugin due to some anomalies, and switched to https://wordpress.org/plugins/multiple-domain/

    hy,

    as you can see in your sitemap, the page for rgtirecenter.com is translated to https correctly. if you would have any links in your site to this page, it would also use https.

    so you would just like to have the http version redirected to https too. this is something we never implemented so far, because it needs a really bulletproof detection if everything else is configured correctly already. otherwise additional automatic redirections would make troubleshooting in the setup process really hard 😉
    but we have this topic on our list and it is something we really would like to achieve as it would be more convenient.

    in our projects we use simple rules in htaccess of the apache server to achieve this:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    #Now, rewrite to HTTPS:
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
    </IfModule>

    this can be placed on top of other entries in htaccess.

    @cwgservices, thanks for your participation. the need to specify the protocol has been removed with version 1. the plugin you are referencing will mirror the whole site to other domains, which is not what we want to achieve (although it is also possible and more stable with our new version now…).

    matt
