• http://theprobatedepartment.co.uk – (mostly) when I first get to the site, I just see the skeleton of the menu, plus “SKIP TO CONTENT” – click that and the proper site comes up, or wait a few seconds and it will do so by itself.
    It just looks unprofessional!
    Theme is 2012.

Have flushed cache repeatedly, but I do have rather a lot of caching type programs, so maybe that is the issue:

    WP Super Minify
    Autoptimize
    WP Fastest Cache
    WP Widget Cache
    WP Performance Score Booster

    Any suggestions pleas?

  • My lucky guess is that Autoptimize and WP Fastest Cache maybe caching some issues. Try deactivating them. Don’t forget to clear your Browser Cache and Delete the WP Fastest Cache.

Aside from a messed up menu, the site looks OK to me.

The 2012 theme looks fine besides of a problematic menu and an error in the foot saying content is protected

    Content is protected!

How did the menu look to you Steve? Sometimes its fine, others you just get a sort of menu tree down the left and no images, others it goes straight to the full site.

The menu is in two rows.

Thanks for the help so far!

The menu is in two rows because you haven’t been selective about what goes on it. Go to Appearances->Menus and manage your menu(s).

“Content is protected” seems to be coming from a plugin.

Well aware Steve – just can’t decide which ones are less important!
