Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Site Health Status Turning JetPack Error

We checked “Site Health” on the new WordPress.

It found 3 critical issues. One of them is from Jetpack: (Jetpack detected an error)

Site Health also recommended 2 things: Updating our PHP (to 7.1) and installing the optional module, imagick.

We contacted our host company and they helped us do both.

We also did a https://jetpack.com/support/debug/ and it said that “Everything looks great!”.
Site Health still says there’s a Jetpack error!

  • FYI:

PHP 7.1.28 version was giving us problems with the Jetpack plugin. We upgraded to PHP 7.2.17 and Jetack started functioning normally. We then upgraded to PHP 7.3.4 and Jetpack still functioned normally. The culprit was PHP 7.1.28, it did not agree with Jetpack. Now we know.

We did Site Health after upgrading to PHP 7.3.4. and found 1 critical issue: (jetpack.com detected an error). Recommendation was to debug. We did debugging and “Everything looks great”!

Why is there still a ‘critical error’ appearing from Jetpack.com when applying Site Health?

    Hi @wafwaf,

Why is there still a ‘critical error’ appearing from Jetpack.com when applying Site Health?

What is the exact error message you are seeing (please copy the whole error)? And can you send the address of the site you are working on?

Once I know more, I’ll be happy to take a look.

Apparently after the new WordPress update and the Jetpack update, something went wrong and we had to disconnect and reconnect again Jetpack on WordPress.com and the error disappeared. Updates do wonder sometimes.
