    I lost my entire site after WordPress automatically upgraded to WordPress 5.0. Initially, I thought it was a cache issue or network related till I wanted to create a new post. Couldn’t find Elementor page builder plugin – guess it was removed during the upgrade.

    The website is showing plain text. What can I do pls?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

    WordPress only does Security-Updates automatically. Never major releases. So first, I would suggest that you look into your wp-config and see if there is something like this:

    define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', true );

    If it is there – delete it, and WP would not update the “Core” automatically.

    I looked into your page. It takes about 30sec to load.
    The only thing I noticed that your main css is in the Uploads Folder. Shouldn´t that be in the Theme folder?

    Just guessing.

    -do you have a backup of files and database available?
    Suggestions:
    -troubleshooting with health check plugin?

    -contact Elementor support team?

    Thank you so much MikkelCrunch. I recall getting an alert from Softcalous request to auto-update WordPress last week. I’ve unchecked auto-update. Thanks.

    Thank you so much Lisa. I have restored my site to the earlier version and it is back to “normal”.

    Cheers!
