  • The search function no longer works. The function errors out with page not found, 404 error. Being new to wordpress, I understand the error but I don’t see where I can inspect the page/function for a possible fix.

    Can anyone tell me what I can look at and find where the page is crashing?

  • I don’t even see a search box on your site, so I’m not quite sure what the problem is.

    Can you login to your account?

    Yes I can login fine. Take a look at the upper right hand corner. There should be search text box.

    I now have it where the search form doesn’t error out but the search isn’t returning any results.

    Here what my searchform code look like.

    <!-- Search Form -->
    <form method="get" id="searchform" action="/default.php?">
        <div>
            <input type="image" id="searchsubmit" value="<?php esc_attr_e('Search','ColdStone') ?>" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/img/search-button-<?php echo esc_attr(get_option('coldstone_color_scheme')); ?>.gif" />
            <input type="text" value="<?php echo esc_attr( get_search_query() ); ?>" name="s" id="s" />
        </div>
    </form>
    <!-- End Search Form -->

    I typed the word ‘health‘ in your search box and it returned the relevant posts. It seems that the form is returning only results if the searched word/ phrase is in your text or title.

    Hi Krishna, I typed in the same phrase but I’m not getting anything returned.

    Clear your browser cache (ctrl+f5) and try again. Type: health.

    I see what’s going on. The search is bringing back results onto the right panel. But on the return trip the default.php page displays ‘No Results Found’.

    Can anyone tell me why my search returns some results on the right panel but on the left panel I get a ‘No Results Found’?

    Thank you in advance for any help.

    It is a theme related issue. You need to ask Elegant Themes, as we do not have access to commercial themes, and do not support them.
