Site Scan Seal Go Daddy only script (6 posts)

Hello, the site seal scan that updates daily when copied to the page only appears as script. Go Daddy informed me it was in the code for my website. I know little of that other than building the website from a Go Daddy template. Problem?

Sorry? Does this relate to a WordPress site?
Always include as much information as possible

Hello, Thank you. Yes it does. I used a Go Daddy template and hosting. I used Word Press to build two websites, they site scan seal copies to the pages as certain you know as script or html. The script only appears on the webpage I attach it to. They say it is a problem with the code as to Word Press.

I'm sorry but we don't know anything about GoDaddy's own scripts.

Hello, thank you for the information. I have attached other plug ins and similar to my websites. However I can not get this to attach, or basically go from the copied script to showing the scanned daily seal. They informed it was code in the Word Press part of the site. I thought someone might have had a problem with that as some Go Daddy forums show and also they basically said it was something related to Word Press. Thank you for your time.

    Hi @ sba717agesolutions,

I've found a workaround for this by taking the javascript code and making it plain html.

Simply copy and paste the following code into your footer. It's taken directly from the GoDaddy generated code, but removes the javascript.

    <div style="text-align:center;margin:0 auto;"><a target="_blank" href="https://certs.websiteprotection.com/sealws/?sealId=XXXXXXXX-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-XXXXXXXXXXXX&pop=true" style="display:inline-block;"><img src="https://seals.websiteprotection.com/XXXXXXXX-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-XXXXXXXXXXXX.gif" alt="Website Protection™ Site Scanner protects this website from security threats." title="This Website Protection site seal is issued to XXXXXXXX.com. Copyright © 2014, all rights reserved."oncontextmenu="alert('Copying Prohibited by Law'); return false;" border="0" /></a></div>

Simply replace the XXXXXXXX-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-XXXXXXXXXXXX with your unique GoDaddy code. You can find this in the code that they generate for you.

Remember to also change XXXXXXXX.com to your website.

    I hope this helps.
