• Hi, I’ve never used WordPress before and have been tasked with redirecting a WordPress site to a different domain and leaving WordPress in the process.

    I’ve read through the support files and everything seems self explanatory (go to store and purchase the redirect that way), however this is where I am having problems. The username and password we use to access the Admin Dashboard does not seem to be the same as the username and password required to purchase the redirect through the store. I’ve tried changing the password in the admin panel and also requested a new one (which we’ve not received) but still no luck. Also, there appears to be no way to access the store through the Admin Dashboard.

    The member of staff who set this all up originally has left – their inbox has been deleted, however all their new emails are being forwarded to myself, so no way of getting the original email back but definitely a way to get a password request sent.

    Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    What store? Is this a wordpress.com site or a self-hosted WordPress install?

    Ah right – it’s probably a ‘self-hosted WordPress install’, as its on it’s own separate domain, which would make sense as to why the username and passwords don’t work on WordPress.com

    I’ll get onto the company that set up the website (apparently we don’t have a very good relationship with them – hence trying to do it without going through them) and get them to sort the redirect out.
