Hi Irene
The Page Builder tab missing is a sign of a plugin conflict. If you check the browser console, you’ll most likely find errors present. Try to find a working baseline by temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins. In that state, does the issue resolve?
Hi Andrew,
Yes, it works after deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins. I presume that now I have to activate them one by one to find which one has provoked the bug?
It looks like Yoast SEO Premium is the problem. I deactivated all plug-ins and the editor is working fine. Yoast SEO Premium is the only one that’s bringing the issue back.
What are my options?
There is a good chance you’re using an outdated version of Yoast Premium. Check your version number vs the latest release version number to find out. Thanks.
Same problem here, all plugins are deactivated but: Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and Page Builder. The Visual Editor is now the only editor even after selecting the PB settings to allow visual editor to be the default. We even re-installed WP. Our team will be looking for another solution as this can not go on. Pre-existing PB pages work, but you can no longer add a new page 🙁

I would like to add that there are other domains on the same server which do not have this problem using the same theme and php version.

Hi wb
When you have a moment, please open a new support topic, we’d be happy to help. On the WordPress.org forums we generally assist one person at a time as it can become overly complex to do otherwise due to differing setups. For this particular topic, Yoast Premium is the issue. We’ve seen issues with an outdated version being used. We’re waiting to hear back if that’s the case. Thanks.
Hi Andrew,
No, we’re not using an outdated version of Yoast Premium. As a matter of fact, it was among the plugins I updated before the builder problem occured.
Thanks. To confirm the conflict, temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder and Yoast Premium, does the issue persist in this state?
Yes, the issues does persist – only the Page Builder and Yoast Premium are currently active.
Thanks.
With only Page Builder and Yoast Premium activated, temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen, does the issue persist?
When the issue the issue occurs, open the browser console, if errors are present, screenshot and upload to imgur.com or similar and send us the link. Here is how to check the console https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis
Which version of Yoast Premium are you using?
Is there any chance that switching to a default theme might break the website? Is there any chance that all my custom setting on our main theme will be gone after I swtich to a default theme and then bring bang the one that we’re using?
I don’t have any IT experience and I have no idea how to resolve the issue if such occurs because of the theme.

No issues will result.
If possible, please, reply, when able to all three questions in my previous reply. I only ask those multiple questions so as to try and help out as quickly as possible. Thanks.
The issue does persist.
The list of errors is long:

Yoast Premium v 9.3
Edit: I’ve checked the console with Yoast Premium deactivated and even though SiteOrigin’s builder is working, some of the errors are still there. Do you need screenshots from them as well?

The Yoast SEO Premium changelog would suggest the current version is 12.8.
