Hi bem1992,

I’ve had a look at your website and there’s definitely something preventing the SiteOrigin Hero widget from generating its styling. This is the main reason why the button, among other things, looks so basic. I know you really want to get started on designing your slider but we really need to work out what is causing this issue before you can proceed.

Can you please confirm that the only plugins active are the Page Builder by SiteOrigin and the SiteOrgin Widgets Bundle? If so, can you please send me a screenshot of your entire plugins list so we can run some tests?

Would it be possible for you to send me an export containing your hero widget? To do this please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

One last request. If you create a new page and add a Hero widget. Does this issue occur there? I ask as there may be something specific to your home page causing this issue.

Widgets for SiteOrigin isn’t actually one of our plugins, can you please disable that plugin to see if that helps? Also, as per your screenshots, you have a must use plugin present. Can you please select Must Use and show me a screenshot of that plugin? I ask because Must Use aren’t present in the base plugins list.

There aren’t any issues with the provided layout and it works without issue.

At this point, we really need to take a closer look at your general setup (as that appears to be the issue) and that’s not something we’re able to do on the WordPress.org forums. Can you please create a thread on our forums and link me to it?
