check the root directory of your site for a file .maintenance
If you find it, delete it.
Did you recently update the core files?
looks like you have maintenance plugin activated. please go to plugins and deactivate it.
Hi there, many thanks for trying to help.
There is no maintenance plugin activated. The site address is http://www.morethandesign.co.nz and there is no .maintenance file in the root directory. I haven’t done any updates recently.
I have deactivated the current theme – Dante and the site became visible – found out it was a maintenance setting in Dante I have overlooked, so it all good now. the only problem is that I lost the settings for the home page by deactivating the theme, so some standard home page appears. I guess it won’t be hard to fix. thanks for your help!
I see the site, it doesn’t seem to be on maintenance, did you change the theme? if you did, maybe the previous theme had a maintenance option. so many themes add functions that should be done by plugins.
I have overlooked that my theme had the Maintenance setting turned on.
Many thanks for looking into my problem!
